Session Description

Come listen to bards from near and from far tell stories of keeps' breaches and how they did spar... Learn tricks and devices for thieves and for shadows, to fend off their attacks and send them to gallows.

Session Format & Style:

This is intended to be in the style of a round-table, unconference-style format for the discussion of cybersecurity topics, including secure passwords, smart cards, ransomware attacks, and any other questions the audience may have. Open participation.

Takeaways:

Participants will gain some insight into the hows & whys of different styles of attacks on their infrastructure, as well as some methods to deal with and recover from them. They will also gain the knowledge and ability to create more secure passwords, and see how smart cards can help secure their facilities. As a library in the state of Kentucky recently found out, NONE of us are immune to ransomware attacks, and those will be discussed as well.

Organization:

Open participation, will post a CFP if selected.
